Panda Volunteer Program Introduction

How to Become A Panda Volunteer

 Highlights;

* A unique experience with one of the most loved animals, The Panda!

* Get close with the pandas and learn how to care for them.

* Receive a certificate of being a proud panda volunteer.

Chengdu panda reserve centers are located in Dujiangyan. Our panda volunteer programs offer our guests a full-day experience of taking care of the giant pandas.

As a volunteer, you will get to work from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will be given brief training by the professional who cares for these loving animals. Volunteers will clean, prepare their lunch, and feed the pandas. The helper will show you how they clean the pandas homes, and you will again get to feed the pandas up close and personal. After the day ends, all volunteers will receive certificates!

Founded in 2014, there are about 20 pandas living and breeding here. There are 2 panda bases we will travel to the closest one from Chengdu which is approx. 1 and half hours away from Chengdu.

Due to safety reasons only volunteers between the ages of 12 and 65 can participate.

If you have younger siblings under the age of 12 they can tour the panda centers with their guardian and watch as they feed the pandas. Then you all join together to have a gourmet lunch.

Fly into Chengdu from Beijing, Shanghai, or another connected city, or continue from Xi’an by high-speed train in about four hours. A Chengdu visit can be added to another China itinerary we arrange.

For our popular tours, Please visit the Xi’an tour pages.
