Tours to Mutianyu, Great Wall of China

The best preserved original Great Wall of China

Not many people actually know about this part of the Great Wall (Mutianyu) and the other section and more populous section, Badaling. Badaling is always like a swarm of bees around a beehive, it's a very busy area and there are just too many people there to truly take in your surroundings and enjoy your visit especially during peak time. Mutianyu is the perfect alternative if you are looking for a more of a peaceful experience. Mutianyu which is closer to Beijing than badaling maybe is another reason you would choose this part. Mutianyu is known for its steep landscape and for its unique.

This section is notable for its defensive barriers. A secondary wall runs parallel to the main fortification for about 1,000 meters, strengthening the defenses and giving you a closer look at how the Wall was designed.

Mutianyu includes steep flights of steps, so the walking can still be physically demanding. Cable-car options offer an alternative to the climb, with mountain views along the way. Mutianyu has also welcomed notable visitors, including Bill Clinton and John Major.

Mutianyu is a very fabulous and eye catching part of the wall with its natural landscape. In In autumn especially the maple trees fill the place with beauty. Other times performances are held at the wall to bring you back in time. The wall stretches just 2 kilometers and is the most restored part of the wall which boosts safety concerns.

A beautiful quite trip to the Great Wall.

Mutianyu Invites You to the Great Wall of China

Mutianyu is located in Huairou County, northeast of Beijing. Due to its very important geographical location, Mutianyu has been a military mainstay in Beijing since ancient times. This section of the Great Wall is connected to the Juyongguan Pass of Changping County in Beijing in the west and Gubeikou in Miyun County in the east. Built in the Ming Dynasty, it is the eastern section of Huanghua Town, the north gate of Beijing Normal University. It is one of the important barriers of the northern barrier known as Gongwei Jingshi and Huangling Mausoleum since ancient times. It is called "Wailing Xiongguan". There have been many wars here, the most famous of which were the wars of the Ming Dynasty.
